1. Transparent cooling, regulating the photothermal environment

Compared with traditional transparent coverings, white mesh cloth has its own characteristics in terms of photothermal regulation. Traditional transparent greenhouses are prone to the "greenhouse effect" in summer, where the internal temperature may rise above 50°C, causing plants to be burned by high temperatures, leaves to be damaged, and even death. Ordinary black sunshade nets have a better cooling effect, but at the same time, they can significantly reduce the intensity of light, which may cause yellowing of plant leaves, slow growth, and problems such as flower and fruit drop. The white mesh cloth has to some extent alleviated the contradiction between "cooling and shading".

Its working principle is to reflect infrared radiation (thermal radiation) through specific additives, while allowing some visible light to pass through. Taking the "Mingliang Film" visible in the market as an example, its grid structure has an aperture ratio of about 40%, which can maintain a certain level of light while reducing indoor temperature, providing relatively suitable growth conditions for plants. According to the different shading rates, white mesh cloth is roughly divided into specifications such as 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, etc. Growers can choose based on the plant's light requirements and seasonal changes, with a moderate shading rate of 30% to 50% being more commonly used in practical applications.

2. Good ventilation to reduce the occurrence of diseases

The mesh structure of the white mesh fabric itself allows for free air circulation. This feature is different from traditional plastic film greenhouses, which, due to their high airtightness, are prone to excessive humidity and poor air flow, thereby increasing the risk of mold and disease. Studies have shown that using white shading nets in greenhouses has better air circulation, which is beneficial for regulating temperature and humidity, and reducing the occurrence of fungal diseases such as leaf spot disease and downy mildew. Meanwhile, good ventilation can also help prevent water droplets from condensing on the leaves for a long time, reducing the possibility of leaf decay or water accumulation at the roots.

3. Insect and bird prevention, physical isolation of pests and diseases

For white mesh cloth with fine mesh (such as 18 to 40 mesh insect-proof net), it can serve as a physical barrier to prevent pests such as aphids, cabbage caterpillars, and diamondback moths from entering, thereby reducing the use of chemical pesticides and protecting vegetables and flowers from harm. In addition, this type of mesh cloth can also prevent birds from pecking at fruits and small animals from damaging them, providing a relatively safe growth space for plants.

4. Lightweight and durable, with UV resistance

High-quality white mesh fabric is often made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the raw material as raw material and added with anti-UV stabilizers. This kind of material is light, easy to cut, and has heat resistance, water resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance and other properties. Under normal usage conditions, its service life can reach 2 to 5 years or longer, with certain cost-effectiveness.
